Last month was an eventful one for many people and the Voxbone team was no exception!
This year’s TADSummit, an initiative to build an open global ecosystem that helps businesses and developers use telecom capabilities in their apps and services, was held last month in Lisbon. We took a team of people from different departments at Voxbone to the summit with the aim of discussing new trends, meeting others from the initiative and telling them about what we’re up to at Voxbone within this space.
The organizers of TADSummit (Alan Quayle et al.) had lined up some fantastic speakers over the two days. One of which was Voxbone’s Chad Hart, who talked about evolving communications and enabling enterprise, carriers and CPaaS for SIP trunks and DID numbers.
Check out his presentation from the livestream of the event here:
After the first day’s talks and mixers finished and everyone had gotten a taste for the different topics, we decided to give them a taste of something else: Port! We stocked our stand with bottles of port for anyone who was able to conquer our quiz.
Being in the country of Port(ugal), we decided it was only fitting that we sponsor a port tasting session for the attendees of TADSummit.
There were 6 different types of port to try: from ruby port, that’s stored in stainless steel or concrete tanks to prevent oxidization and gives it that ruby red color, to tawny port that is stored in wooden barrels, slowly exposing it to oxygen, changing its color and adding a rich flavor.
TADSummit was a great opportunity for experts and enthusiasts of telecoms and apps to come together to discuss trends, how the two worlds were moving forward and how they could work together.
